How did I win both of the Masters’ Pools?  Was it luck?  Was it The Force?  No… it was…. DA SCHWARTZ!

Friends, foes, etc… your 2011 Masters Champion… Da Schwartz!

STEVIE T. SWEEPS ALL SIDE BETS!

On the back of a great performance by Charl Schwartzel, Stevie T. crushes Joel and holds out to win the other 6-way side bet!!! I love that little South African!

MAJOR SIDE BETS

Filed under: Side Bets — stevetuholski @ 7:41 am

The Crazy Canadian and I made our picks offline this year… I didn’t want to give away any strategy to the wankers in my other side bet (which I in turn nearly forgot about).  As usual, Joel and I play for $50 plus an additional $50 if you pick the winner.  Team with the highest total winnings for the tourney wins.  I had the first pick.  Here are our teams:

Stevie T

Phil Mickelson

Nick Watney

Rory McIlroy

Lee Westwood

Charl Schwartzel

Joel

Dustin Johnson

Bubba Watson

Martin Kaymer

Hunter Mahan

Ryan Moore

All Side Bets Complete

Filed under: Side Bets — stevetuholski @ 7:11 pm

First, congratulations to Joel for breaking a losing streak so long, we don’t even know if he ever won for a season.  On the back of Bubba Watson’s  play and Nick Watney’s complete collapse, he won the final side bet of the year, and in doing so logged his first winning season… in for ever?  That’s $50 I owe the big Canadian.

In the other side bets, despite Nick Watney’s impression of Dustin Johnson at the U.S. Open, I prevailed in the PGA Bet, and the Overall Bet.

A very special message, from Paul Casey

Filed under: Side Bets — stevetuholski @ 8:58 am

To my fans, and especially those of you who wagered on me this week,

Hello mates!  I know I’ve been criticized for lack of focus in the past, often leading to embarrassingly bad choices and outcomes on the course, including more triple bogeys in a weekend than even Joel could muster.  But I assure you my friends and followers, I am committed this week.  So committed in fact, that even during the fog delay this morning, I’ve done nothing but focus and concentrate on the task at hand.  Your support, and more importantly, your wagers are safe with me.

Best wishes,

Paul Casey
